The Camp

The camp has been going good. I am making a lot of new friends, and meeting new people. I am glad that we went on a long hike down the beach instead of sitting at camp. It was about a six mile hike, and it took us about four hours to do. I was happy though because I wanted to hike since I got here.

This is me and my buddies on backwards day walking backwards, you can't really see me but there is (left to right) Donny, Johnny, Caleb and I.

Johnny and I are sanding the oars to the Umiak. We put a lot of work on sanding those oars by hand. (left to right) David, Johnny.

We were burning leftover firewood and it was fun.
If you look close you can see a yurt on fire.
It was raining when we did this and all day. It's been raining most of the camp.

I think this pic looks cool. There were other pics of fireweed but this a one of a kind pic. So far this camp is great.
But there is one part that was hard, me and my group can agree, we did a walk that was about 6 to 8 miles. It took us about 5 to 8 hours.

Eating brownies in the kitchen at Kasistna Bay. I was going hyper with Shannon making crazy smiles while eating.
Me poking at a starfish at Jackolof Bay, checking out low tide. We saw lots of different sea creatures. It was awesome to see all those creatures.

This is our boat that we were working on. It is a cool thing to do at camp. I had a good time working on something together with my group.
